The Karam Puja or dance is observed on the night of “Bhado Ekadasi” (generally in the month of August). It is basically agriculture related festival and believe that by the blessing of the God “Karam” they will get bumper crops and their family will be saved from evil. More over woman folk pray for better conjugal life.
Performance—the dance performs in the night of Karam Puja is called “Jhumair Nritya”. It is basically a group dance performs by the rhythm of “Dholl” and “Madal” by a group of young man and woman. Another popular form of dance is “Danda Nritya” which is performed during the “Fagua” festival.
